We are all about celebrating in small and simple ways, passionate about finding beauty in mundane moments, and we hope to inspire all families and classrooms to learn more about this amazing world we live in.
Our perpetual calendar provides national, international, and world holidays with easy ideas to celebrate that are suitable for groups of all sizes and people of all ages. We have done all the thinking and preparatory work for you; all you have to do is turn to the day of the year and read about that day’s holiday.
We hope you don’t think of this calendar as another thing on your “to-do” list, but rather a quick 5-15 minute exploration of something that brings the big, beautiful world into your home or classroom. Set it on the kitchen table for a morning-time study, keep it in the car for long waits in the carpool lane, or use it as a great conversation starter during dinner time.
Celebrate Year after Year
We don’t expect you to do it all; take just one holiday per day to focus on or even one per week. The wonderful thing about this calendar is that it’s perpetual; it can be used again year after year. If you miss a few holidays one year, they can be easily celebrated the next! For the holidays that do not follow date-specific requirements, we have included them at the beginning of each month; be sure to review these holidays and their accompanying date in the chart to see if any interest you this year.

So happy you found your way to our little home on the internet! I love Jesus, my family, and learning new things. I am a graphic designer and web developer and enjoy solving problems through code. Fostering a love of learning, a kind heart, and a closeness as a family unit are some of my highest priorities as a mother! I have had lots of ideas, but everything that Everyday a Holiday stands for is what makes me so passionate about this idea. The idea that we as mothers, as teachers, as guardians of precious children have the privilege and opportunity to introduce them to the grand and detailed beauties of the world. To see the world from their view, slow down and soak in what we can be grateful for in just one day.
